Dr. Bradley Barrick signs contract to be MCC’s seventh president

 

Dr. Bradley Barrick signed a contract with Montcalm Community College on May 16, officially accepting the position of the college’s seventh president.

Dr. Barrick currently serves as Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma, which is a public 2-year college with annual enrollments of about 13,000. Dr. Barrick began his higher education career at Rose State in 2021 and previously served the college as its government liaison and as a professor teaching both in-person and online classes in topics such as marketing, public relations and public speaking. He also serves as a Chaplain with the Army National Guard.

The contract begins July 1, 2024, and terminates June 30, 2027. It is a rolling three-year agreement that shall, on July 1 of each year, be extended for one year by Board action.

Dr. Barrick’s compensation package at MCC includes an annual salary of $175,000, an $800 per month vehicle allowance, 24 paid vacation days, a $10,000 reimbursement for moving expense if he moves within the MCC district by Oct. 1, 2024, and fringe benefits.

MCC Vice President for Administrative Services Connie Stewart has served as the college’s Interim President since July 1, 2023.
