Explore our past with The Friends of Forest Home Cemetery
The Friends of Forest Home Cemetery invite you on an engaging tour of their cemetery, sharing stories from the past of founding community members and their enterprises and adventures.
Along the way you’ll learn about family connections, ancestry, and the art and architecture of markers and mausoleums, while examining the role cemeteries play in an area’s history.
This event is Tuesday, June 27, at 5 p.m. at Forest Home Cemetery on Manoka Lake Boulevard in Greenville.
It is open to the first 75 people who sign up to attend by contacting the MCC Library at 989-328-1261 or librarystaff@montcalm.edu.
Please arrive 15 minutes early, and walking shoes and bug spray are suggested.
This event is part of the One Book One County Montcalm program, which features the selection “Downton Shabby” by Hopwood DePree. Visit montcalm.edu/one-book for more information and to learn about other One Book offerings.
