Montcalm Community College and the MCC Foundation awarded 197 scholarships to 185 students, totaling just over $212,550 for the 2024-2025 academic year during an annual gala on Oct. 1 on the college’s Sidney campus. 

More than 70 endowed scholarship funds provide awards to support students as they pursue their degrees and certificates at MCC. 

“The MCC Foundation supports the college in its mission of transforming lives through quality education,” said Lisa Lund, Executive Director for the MCCF. “These vital scholarship funds honor our donors and their loved ones to help positively impact our students’ success.”  

During the celebration, MCC alumnus Ben Weller provided words of inspiration through his personal story. In addition, the awarded students and their special guests had the opportunity to meet several MCC Foundation scholarship donors who also attended.
