MCC seeks applicants for president
The search for Montcalm Community College’s seventh president is under way.
The search is being assisted by Dr. Angela Provart, President of Pauly Group Inc. As Chief Executive Officer of the college, the President reports to the Board of Trustees and has the broad responsibility for the operation of the college.
The presidential search committee is comprised of MCC Board of Trustees Chairperson Karen Carbonelli of Greenville, Vice Chairperson Carol Dueling-Ravell of Howard City and Treasurer Kurt Peterson of Sidney, along with a variety of individuals who represent various college and community stakeholders.
The process includes a nationwide search for the college’s next top leader. A position profile has been developed based on the college’s needs for the next president.
The search committee will identify and interview semi-final candidates in April. Final candidates will be at the college meeting with various constituency groups in May. Once identified, these dates will be announced. Applications are due April 8.
With Pauly Group’s assistance, the Board intends to have a new president in place by July, creating a smooth transition in leadership.
MCC’s sixth president, Dr. Stacy H. Young, left the college in May 2023. At that time, Vice President for Administrative Services Connie Stewart was appointed interim president for a one-year term, ending June 30, 2024.
