MCC's volleyball team falls to Bay College

 

Montcalm Community College’s volleyball team traveled to Escanaba Tuesday, Sept. 17, to take on Bay College and fell to the Norse 24-26, 26-28, 24-26. 

Leading the way for the Centurions offense was Maia Sexton who recorded 13 kills and Tiana Whitacre who recorded 27 assists. 

Leading the defense was Jaden Gomez who picked up 10 digs and Katelyn Bignall and Maia Sexton who recorded two blocks and Lily Bohen recorded two service aces. 

The Centurions are now 0-2 in conference play and 4-7 overall.

The Centurions will take on Grand Rapids Community College on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at home. The theme for the game is Heroes Night and all military, first responders and health care professionals and their families may attend the game for free with an ID.

The game is in the gymnasium in the Activities Building on MCC’s Sidney campus. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5; $3 for senior citizens and children aged 12 and younger; MCC students and employees also enter for free with a valid MCC ID.
