One Book One County Montcalm Kick Off is May 21
Find out what everyone is reading during the 2024 One Book One County Montcalm Kickoff celebration on Tuesday, May 21, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in rooms D303-305 in the Beatrice E. Doser Building on Montcalm Community College’s Sidney campus.
Attend the One Book opening luncheon to explore “The Impossible Question and How to Answer it,” presented by Stanton native Brooke Whipple. It’s a discussion about how to navigate the choices you have in life and how to find the courage, as well as permission, to chase down your dreams.
Whipple has chased down wilderness adventures from Alaska to Mongolia. Her enthusiasm for experiencing wild places and eating great food cooked over a campfire is second only to sharing it with others in hopes they too can venture out to challenge themselves. She has appeared on three TV shows: “Yukon River Run” on the National Geographic Channel, and “ALONE Season 4” and “ALONE Season 5” on the History Channel. Her popular YouTube channel “Girl in the Woods” has over half a million subscribers.
Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
Due to space limitations, RSVP is requested to attend this event. Visit www.montcalm.edu/One-Book for a link to register or call 989-328-1261.
