Distinguished Alumni Award
The Montcalm Community College Distinguished Alumni Award is a high honor bestowed annually on an alumnus/alumna by the Montcalm Community College. An alumnus/alumna is defined as an individual who has taken one or more courses at or has graduated from MCC. The inaugural award is planned to be presented at the College’s Commencement Ceremony, held the first Friday in May. Individuals currently employed by MCC are not eligible for award.
Emily Petersen was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award during MCC's 57th Commencement Ceremony.
Submission Requirements
The nominee shall have advanced in their career and brought credit to themselves and Montcalm Community College through accomplishments in the following areas:
- Achieve a high level of accomplishment and recognition in his/her career and life experiences.
- Demonstrate service to his/her community through community service, volunteerism, or involvement in the community.
- Embody one or more of MCC’s value statements: student success, empowerment, relationships, visionary, inclusion, community and excellence.
Supporting materials are encouraged but optional. You may attach supporting materials (e.g., resume, bio, letter of reference, photo, news articles) within the nomination form or mail them to the address below. If mailed, please ensure the nominee’s name is clearly identified in the materials.
Nominations are accepted throughout the year, but must be submitted by March 1 to be considered. The form below and any supporting materials must be received by Lisa Lund, Executive Director for the MCC Foundation. The College’s mailing address is 2800 College Dr., Sidney, MI 48885.
